Note: the solution to 617 is correct. Seven different people
have written to say that move 20 (51) does not work. When you are about to make the move 51,
there should be an empty column (column 4) and an empty freecell (freecell c). 51 moves four
cards (5D 6C 7H 8S) from column 5 to column 1 (Nine of hearts). This is a legal move in
any standard version of FreeCell, including Microsoft's (the program will do this automatically
when you select 5 then 1). If you were making the moves one card at a time, they would be
5c 54 c4 5c 51 c1 4c 41 c1. An empty column and an empty freecell always allow you to move
four cards from one column to another . This kind of move is called a Supermove; see the FAQ for details.
